This retrofit of an existing un-reinforced masonry industrial space into a place of worship required close collaboration with the engineer. All cross-bracing was detailed by the architect and left exposed to provide a cost-effective and beautiful space. This project was featured in “Pulling Downtown Oakland Together”, an American Institute of Architects Exhibit.
