Acheson Commons is a mixed-use, adaptive reuse, rehabilitation and new construction project on the historic Acheson Block in Berkeley, CA.  The project includes: rehabilitation of the historic Acheson Physicians Building with adaptive reuse of existing structure to include 21 new dwelling units; rehabilitation of Ace Hardware (formerly historic Sills Building) facades with addition of five stories of residential to include 35 new dwelling units; relocation of existing brown shingle structures on Walnut Street and development of a new six-story, mixed-use building 78 new dwelling units and three units of live/work space around a central courtyard on the ground floor; and rehabilitation of historic McFarlane Building facades with sensitive addition of five stories of residential, including 69 new dwelling units.
